Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (WEP) is a high-powered training designed to address the specific needs, challenges, and opportunities faced by women in Armenia who wish to set up a business and run it successfully. More and more of WEP graduates are embracing entrepreneurship as a viable, fulfilling career alternative to traditional forms of employment and as a powerful means of earning income.

This course is built on the 5 knowledge areas of innovation applied to entrepreneurial conceptualization and recognition of the business opportunity.

  1. PROBLEM-SOLVING and BUSINESS ACUMEN
  2. DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE
  3. CREATIVITY and INNOVATION,
  4. PLANNING, and
  5. EXECUTION

Language of Instruction: Armenian

Duration: Instruction time is 100 hours, throughout 5 weeks, however, participants should plan a company visit on one of the Sundays (TBA), one additional week for individual work and final presentation, as well as for the graduation ceremony.

Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, 18:30-21:30 & Saturdays, 9։30-16:30

Tuition Fee: Free for qualifying participants (Tuition is sponsored by AIWA Armenian International Women’s Association)

Registration Fee: 5,000 AMD

Target Audience: This course is intended for woman participants only. Participants should be interested in starting their own business or advancing in their careers in business.

Enrollment is easy as 1-2-3:

Step 1: By November 1 please go to extension.aua.am/online-registration-2, sign up and follow the payment instructions to make the payment of the non-refundable fee of 5,000 AMD.

Step 2: Send your resume (required) and cover letter (optional) in Armenian or English to extension@aua.am

Step 3: On November 3, Saturday, in-person or skype interviews will be conducted with qualifying candidates.  Final decisions will be communicated via email on the same day. Selected candidates need to confirm their participation by replying to the admission email, and accept the AIWA scholarship to participate in the course.
