
Fashion Design Advanced: Collection Development course is designed to introduce participants to advanced fashion design practices, equipping them with the skills to develop cohesive garment collections, explore complex construction techniques, and translate creative concepts into a complete design story. The course covers essential topics such as advanced draping, garment deconstruction, fabric manipulation, and collection building, providing hands-on experience to support the creation of a portfolio-ready fashion collection.
At the end of the course the students will:
- Understand advanced principles of fashion design and collection development.
- Learn advanced 3D draping techniques and working with basic shapes.
- Develop skills in garment deconstruction and redesign.
- Explore fabric manipulation techniques to create textures and visual effects.
- Learn how to develop a cohesive multi-look collection.
- Gain experience presenting designs through concept boards, flats, and prototypes.
