What do I have to do to be admitted to AUA Open Education?
For attending AUA Open Education courses, you must file an online application here.
Closer to the course start date we approve the applications and provide all the relevant information regarding the enrollment process.

I am not a student  at the American University of Armenia. May I take Open Education courses?
Yes! Anyone interested in Open Education courses may enroll and attend them unless otherwise specified in the announcement

Will taking a test prep course at Open Education course help me gain admission to the American University of Armenia?
Open Education students who wish to be admitted to AUA BA or MA programs must follow the normal admissions process.
Taking our courses will not influence the admissions process, but it can reduce “transfer shock” and make for an easier transition if you are accepted to the university.

How much does it cost to take courses from AUA Open Education?
Open Education courses are individually priced, and the price per course is the same for all students, regardless of residency status. Courses fees range from 20,000 AMD to 125,000 AMD.
Some of the factors that affect the price include the number of hours, the field of study, the materials needed for a particular course.

If you enroll for the second course you will be entitled to 10% discount on the second course. 

AUA Open Education and AUA Alumni have special discounts: all Open Education receive 10 & reduced fee for the course they are enrolling in, and all AUA Alumni receive 33% discount for all the courses except Project Management Professional Prep course, other test prep courses, General English and Special Project courses, for which they will still receive 10% discount.

Can I use the university’s library while attending Open Education courses?
Yes. At the beginning of the course, we are giving ID cards, which serve as proof of enrollment at AUA. The ID card also gives the students the opportunity to use the AUA Papazian Library and access the e-resource off campus for online books, articles and statistics…

Open Education students must return the ID card at the end of the course. AMD 1,000 will be charged in case of card loss or damage.

Can I earn a degree from Open Education?
Open Education does not offer degrees. We offer lifelong learning opportunities to everyone from 3 to 103 years old with numerous certificate programs, specialized courses and workshops.
