Introduction to Fashion Design course is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of fashion design, equipping them with the skills to explore creative ideas, understand basic garment construction, and begin developing their own design concepts. The course covers essential topics such as design principles, sketching, fabric basics, and introductory construction techniques, providing hands-on experience to support creative expression in fashion.
At the end of the course the students will:
- Understand the fundamentals of fashion design and the design process.
- Learn the basics of fashion sketching and visualizing ideas.
- Identify different types of fabrics and their basic characteristics.
- Gain an introduction to garment construction techniques.
