About the Program:

In November 2022, the American University of Armenia Extension launched the Sarkis Cabayan Small and Emerging Business Development Program in several provinces of Armenia. The program sponsor, Dr. Hriar Cabayan, has placed strong emphasis on the importance of education, particularly underscoring the significance of the role of women in society. He has established this program in memory of his father, naming it the Sarkis Cabayan Small and Emerging Business Development Program in Armenian Provinces with Scholarships for Women. The program is particularly intended to promote regional advancement through educational scholarships for women participating in Extension courses within the American University of Armenia. Derived from his stated vision, the program adds significance to women’s role in society. Those who can expand their talent of creation throughout society are leaders in creating and advancing new economies in the regions. To this date, the Program has been delivered in Shirak.
