Course Overview:
The course provides a thorough understanding of international legal terminology in English using a tailored thematic approach, and examines various legal concepts in different branches of law. The course also focuses on advancing the use of English terminology in legal practice through an examination of topics, such as company formation and management, contract negotiation, protection of intellectual property rights and employment issues. Using texts commensurate with the topics covered for practicing legal language, the course advances all four skills, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

This course is ideal for non-native English-speakers, practicing law, paralegals, legal professionals, lawyers working at courts of law, law students, commercial loan officers, credit managers, branch managers, legal reviewers, and anyone interested in enhancing their legal knowledge.

Duration: 24 hours - 12 sessions
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Location: AUA Campus - in person
Fee: 55,000 AMD
Requirements: The workshop will be conducted in English. Participants are required to achieve a Level 4 or higher on the English Placement Test if they have not taken AUA Extension’s General English courses.
