Eastern Armenian for Beginners

About the course:

Our Eastern Armenian for Beginners course spans eight weeks, totaling 48 hours of intensive learning. It is intended to cover the fundamentals of the language and providing the foundation for advancing through all levels of Armenian proficiency with a focus on students’ competency in all four language skills – listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

The Beginners level of our Eastern Armenian course is divided into two parts, each taught in 24 hours, over 12 equal sessions. Upon successfully completing Part I, participants are approved to enroll in Part II of the course.

The curriculum integrates multimedia resources such as video and audio materials alongside quizzes, real-world scenarios, interactive tasks, role-playing exercises, and collaborative activities. Armenian serves is the language of instruction and interaction throughout this immersive learning course.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Recognize all 39 letters of the Armenian alphabet to develop basic reading and writing skills.
  • Develop basic listening and speaking skills for use in real life situations.
  • Hold basic conversations about self, family, job, daily activities, transportation, etc. by using a few major time frames and relevant vocabulary.
  • Ask and answer basic questions in social situations.
  • Develop basic word building techniques.

 

Who should attend this course?

This course is tailored for individuals at the beginners level who are eager to learn Eastern Armenian. Whether you have some rudimentary knowledge of Armenian or are a complete novice, this course provides a structured pathway to acquiring the basic skills and proficiency in Eastern Armenian.
