About the course:
The Italian language and culture course is designed for those who want to improve their Italian language skills and to explore the Italian reality and the culture. This is an opportunity to further develop the Italian proficiency level and to get socio-cultural knowledge about the country that hosts over 60 percent of the world’s cultural heritage sites. During the course, the first language use is minimized. The methods are communicative and interactive which make the learning process challenging and fun. The emphasis is put on communication and to make progress is the highest priority. The students are engaged in interactive language activities, participating in group and pair work. The course focuses as well on creative and critical thinking. The resources are flexible and respond to the students’ needs.

Learning objectives:
The course is targeted at developing progressively the existing language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking,) and achieving the equivalent of A2/A2+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Converse effectively exchanging information
  • Gain confidence by choosing grammatical forms and structures
  • Develop strategies in all language skills and functions for ongoing learning
  • Further develop their socio-cultural knowledge
  • Obtain confidence in practicing Italian language
