Intermediate Speaking English

About the course:
The course provides a motivating English-speaking environment with interactive task-based activities that simulate real-life interactions. Learners will be receiving guided feedback and rich input six hours a week while integrating a broad range of relevant topics in extended discourse.

Learning objectives:
Aligned with CEFR and The Global Scale of English (GSE), learners are expected to be able to do the following by the end of the course:

  • Speak English more naturally, and contribute to group discussions with more clarity, accuracy, and confidence; with appropriate cohesive features and less repetition.
  • Use more sophisticated expressions, linguistically complex language, multi-word verbs, discourse markers, collocations, and phrases for everyday use with precision.
  • Identify their own grammatical and meaning-based errors, and correct themselves.
  • Improve the way they transition between points, develop topics fully and appropriately, practice using appropriate language in different situations, and give a clear account of a subject ending with a clear conclusion.
